Gilbert & Sheppard Group is a proud supporter of the 50+ Housing Council, which had a great meeting today! Held at Founders Kitchen and Bath, Inc. in Alpharetta, the meeting included a delicious lunch in a gorgeous setting. The Founders showroom created an amazing backdrop for the luncheon.
Featuring stunning full kitchen layouts, closet designs, and bath options, the showroom doesn’t stop when you get to the employee offices. Even their workspaces showcase the craftsmanship and endless possibilities available from Founders.
Established in 1988, Founders Kitchen and Bath saw great growth all the way up until 2006, when they hit their record year. The following year saw a great downturn in new home construction and just like much of the economy, their business suffered terribly. From 88 employees down to 17 at their leanest, Founders made it through the rough times and are starting to see an uptick in business again.
Owners Billy Reeves and Robbie Baron noted at the meeting that much of the new business is coming from the Baby Boomer population who will be the largest sector of new homebuyers in the next ten years. Catering to this consumer and meeting their needs is an important business opportunity that shouldn’t be overlooked.
According to Baron, current trends in the industry are painted cabinets with a glaze finish, a furniture-look in the kitchen as well as different finishes for the island cabinets versus the rest of the kitchen.
A big thank you to Founders Kitchen and Bath for hosting the 50+ Housing Council meeting in your beautiful showroom and for the delicious lunch!
