Gilbert & Sheppard Group honored Nationally and Locally in the same week.
Two events relevant to our team took place this week which honored the efforts of businesses and individuals throughout 2012. At the NAHB’s International Builders’ Show (IBS), Gilbert & Sheppard Group was honored with a Silver “Best of 50+ Housing Award” for a Print Advertising campaign targeting “boomer buyers” for Saluda River Club.
During IBS, Betsy was acknowledged along with others from the Atlanta-based chapter of Professional Women in Building for their successful membership drive to start a new chapter for Georgia’s HBA.
On the local front, at its annual Gala, the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce gave our team the very special honor of local “Business of the Year.”
We are sincerely humbled by these accolades and look forward to the many opportunities ahead for 2013.
Betsy Sheppard of Gilbert & Sheppard Group was recently invited to become a Charter Member of the new Ellijay, Georgia Chapter of “Optimist International.” The Optimist Club is an outstanding youth service organization. The Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently announced the new Leadership Gilmer Class for 2012 – 2013. Betsy Sheppard of Gilbert & Sheppard Group was elected to this class. “I am very excited about this year-long leadership program and I look forward to our first Kick-Off Mixer today at the Chamber’s office in Ellijay”, said Betsy.
Saluda River Club, the South Carolina Midlands most successful new home community, was recognized with nine Regal Awards for 2011. The annual recognition program sponsored by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builder Association of Greater Columbia was held February 18, 2012.
For the second time since its grand opening in October 2008, Saluda River Club was named “Community of the Year.” Saluda River Club also won four home design awards as well as Best Interior Merchandising and the Judges’ Choice Award.
Gilbert & Sheppard Group is proud to be the marketing partner for Saluda River Club and honored to receive the Regal Award for Best Overall Advertising Campaign and Best Special Promotion. The 2011 Advertising Campaign successfully reached a variety of prospective buyers; creatively communicated a consistent theme for the community; and generated sales by driving qualified traffic to the community’s website and sales center.

Gilbert & Sheppard Group’s clients honored again!
The Home Builders Association of South Carolina held the annual Pinnacle Awards last week to recognize outstanding craftsmanship in the construction of quality homes and outstanding marketing of homes and communities throughout South Carolina. The Pinnacle Awards are the most prestigious awards given by the HBA.
Gilbert & Sheppard Group’s work was recognized in the following marketing categories: Best Website for a Community, Best Sales & Information Center (Saluda River Club); Best Logo and Best Website for a Builder (Ensight Homes).
From the website to the sales center, the Saluda River Club customer experience is second-to-none. “The River is Calling You Home” theme begins as soon as you drive into the community. (The Entrance-Presentation was also awarded a Pinnacle). The information center contains state-of-the-art interactive viewing monitors and is decorated to showcase the River as well as present the homes and amenities of the community. The multi-award winning website has evolved with the community and has everything a web savvy home-seeker would want to find.
Both the Ensight Homes logo mark and the container of the website are in the shape of a “talk bubble.” This overall look and feel supports Ensight’s main marketing objective: Communication. With opportunities for viewers to contact the builder at every turn, the Ensight Homes website caters to the Communication now era with easy access to available homes, a chat box, page sharing options, links to Facebook and Twitter and a user-friendly Contact Form.

The Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce has a new face on the world-wide-web.
