Gilbert and Sheppard Find Strength in Numbers


We all know the saying “there’s strength in numbers.” This is especially true for women business owners working in traditionally male-dominated industries like residential construction. Kerrie Gilbert and Betsy Sheppard knew they were pioneers when they launched Gilbert & Sheppard Group to focus on marketing home builders and new home communities, with a special emphasis on active adult communities. To strengthen the “sisterhood” and share knowledge and best practices with other professional women, the two have donated their time and talents to organizations like Professional Women in Building, where Betsy was a founding board member of the Atlanta Chapter, and Gilbert & Sheppard Group is a long-time sponsor. Betsy, Kerrie and their team members are active in a number of professional organizations, including serving as officers and committee chairs and attending events like the annual Women in Residential Construction national conference.

The conference provides valuable networking and learning opportunities to ‘stay fresh and up-to-date’ on matters of interest to women in the building industry.
